Thomson's worm gear screw jacks MULI® and JUMBO® set new engineering standards for precision and reliability.  Designed with state-of-the-art CAD and CAE systems and adhering to stringent manufacturing requirements, these jacks meet all the necessary safety, cost-efficiency, and durability mandates of your application. 

Large projects can be realized at short notice thanks to the use of preassembled modules.  These modules can be customized to your application's specifications. Above all, the heart of every MULI and JUMBO screw jack is a precision trapezoidal or ball screw drive of superb quality from Thomson's own screw production. In general, there are two worm gear screw jack considerations: 

  • Trapezoidal screw for rough conditions and good price/performance ratio
  • Ball screw for long duty cycle, high efficiency, and high positioning accuracy

Worm Gear Screw Jack Features

  • MULI® and JUMBO® series are manufactured for loads from 5 to 500 kN
  • Cubic housing, standardized mounting material and end-pieces, and pre-drilled flange holes permit easy installation of motor, gears, and shaft encoder
  • All models designed for tensile and compressive loads
  • Complete range of motors and accessories is available
  • All models designed for pushing forces, pulling forces, and for position independent  functioning
  • High and low speeds available due to two different ratios
  • Synchronization of several jacks is easily accomplished  

Worm Gear Screw Jack Options

  • Version N- screw rotation prevented by its permanent attachment to guided load
  • Version V- anti-rotation device; recommended when screw cannot be secured externally to prevent rotation
  • Version R- rotatory motion of the screw is translated into linear motion via travelling nut   Note: nut must be purchased separately 
  • Gear Ratio H- one full turn of the shaft produces a stroke of 1 mm
  • Gear Ratio L- one full turn of the shaft produces a stroke of 0.25 mm
