RediMount System

Thomson's RediMount System is a motor-mounting enhancement designed to easily incorporate customer-specified motors to our linear motion products, greatly reducing cost and delivery time. Additional benefits include no customization or increase in overall unit length. Easy, no hassle installation with guaranteed alignment.

In general, most motors have five key features that define the mounting interface and vary from motor to motor:

Motor shaft diameter
Motor shaft length
Motor pilot diameter
Mounting bolt size
Mounting bolt circle

The RediMount System incorporates the addition of an intermediate housing to the motor end block of the slide. This housing does not change the overall length of the motor end block and is machined to mate with the key motor features stated above. The pilot feature of this system allows the slide to be oriented in any configuration (horizontal, vertical, inclined, or inverted) during motor installation.
