Stainless Steel Motors
Stainless Steel Motors
Designed for a demanding environment, these compact linear motors are completely made of stainless steel EN 1.4404 / AISI 316.
Referring to the motor design, the focus is on a hygienic style. To avoid deposits of dirt, the motor is made without unnecessary edges, corners and holes. Furthermore, all joints are welded, so that no gaskets are needed.
The windings of the stator are completely encapsulated with epoxy resin, whereby the copper fill and the stator are protected from condensation or corrosion.
Thanks to the complete encapsulation, the motors are also protected against the penetration of dust and water (pressure / steam jet cleaning). This impermeability means that they meet protection class IP69K per DIN EN 60529.
Specially developed plastic bearings make cleaning easier and save time in wash-down applications.
For temperature monitoring all linear motors are equipped with sensors that transfer the data to the drive. The data can be analyzed in the superordinate control so that the motor, depending on the processing (for example, foods such as fish) can be kept in a constant temperature range.
As an option LinMot also offers an integrated water cooling for low surface temperatures, which leads to a higher performance while reducing nucleation.
- - Stainless steel housing
- - Hygienic design
- - Welded connections, no gaskets
- - Completely encapsulated (IP69K)
- - Optional integrated water cooling
Developed for a challenging environment
With three sizes and a maximum stroke of 980 mm, the stainless steel motors provide hygiene at the highest level. They can be used in machines and systems for processing food products or pharmaceuticals. They can handle extremely rough or corrosive environments and can be cleaned with conventional means using in this industries.
